We're not the only ones who find this helpful.

Here's what parents say after we've worked through their cases with them. These reviews appear exactly as written on Google.

Really helpful service for anyone dealing with Elterngeld in Germany. The free tools were already incredibly useful, and when I had questions, I could always get help quickly. The whole process felt much less complicated thanks to Elterngeld Help. Thank you again 🙏

I had a couple of questions that I couldn't really find answers to online. Sent them over and got a helpful answer pretty quickly. That was probably the most useful part for me.

We had a slightly unusual situation because of our income and I didn't want to rely on a generic calculator. We booked a consultation and went through everything together. I came away feeling much more confident about the application.

Honest answers

What you're probably still wondering.

Elterngeld is the German state's parental allowance. It is a monthly payment for parents who take time off work, or cut their hours, to care for a newborn. Both parents share up to 14 months of it, and depending on your previous income it ranges from €300 to €1,800 per month.

How long do you have to apply?

To receive Elterngeld from your baby's first life month, your application needs to reach the Elterngeldstelle during the fourth life month at the latest. Enter the due date or date of birth to see the exact day.
