Editorial standards

How we research and review Elterngeld content.

Elterngeld affects family income and official applications. We therefore treat factual accuracy, traceable sources and clear limits as part of the product, not as fine print.

Primary sources first

We base legal and procedural statements on the BEEG, official federal guidelines, the Federal Family Portal and the responsible public authorities. Secondary sources may help us find a question, but they do not replace the official source.

A visible review date

Every Help Center article with an editorial record shows when its facts were last checked. Material changes are reflected in the article and in its machine-readable dateModified value.

Clear responsibility

Elterngeld Help is responsible for the editorial content. Our team works with Elterngeld cases and application forms in practice. We distinguish general information from an assessment of an individual case.

Corrections

If an official rule, form or interpretation changes, we update the affected content. If you spot an error, email marijke@elterngeldhelp.com with the page and the statement in question.

What our content is not

We are an independent service, not an Elterngeldstelle or government authority. Our public content is general information and is not legal or tax advice. The responsible authority makes the official decision in each case.
